My name is Sonic Alpha.  I’m a male, from Manchester in the UK.

I’m currently a freelance web designer, writer & photographer, though I’ve worked in the gaming industry for companies such as EA, and I-Play.  I’ve worked for a number of gaming sites too, including Planet C&C.

I’ve heard it said that without passion, we’d be truly dead.  One of my many passions is gaming. I play games, I read about them, I talk about them with my friends, and now I find myself writing about them. I’ve been playing games since the age of 9, and I’ve yet to stop.

I originally picked “Sonic Alpha” as my alias back in 1998, little did I know then that I would still be using it today.  If you happen upon Sonic Alpha on your travels, chances are it’s going to be me.  While I own a number of consoles and computers, I tend to play most evenings on Xbox Live.

While I don’t accept random friends requests, I am happy to join an online game when invited (as long as the game is in my collection).

I can be found haunting the official Xbox forums, as well as various other forums listed on this site.

Ambassador Status

In Novemeber 2009, I was selected to become part of Microsoft’s TV Ambassador program. The purpose of the program is for Ambassadors, such as myself, to offer advice and assistance with integrating TV into your Windows Media Center experience.

In January 2010, I was also selected to become part of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Ambassador program.  As an active member of the Xbox Live community, it is my duty to help answer questions and provide assistance (if possible) to anyone having issues with the Xbox Live service.

Clan Invites

As I stated above, I don’t accept random friends requests; the same can be said for clan invites.

While it is an honour to be invited to join your clan, I simply don’t have the free time to provide the dedication required for clan gaming.

That being said, I am happy to join an online game when invited (as long as the game is in my collection).
